Early November is a lovely time for a city break in Thessaloniki: the days are still mild, and the autumn theatre and concert season is in full swing. The weekend of 31 October brings Halloween shows for families, free classical and literary evenings and a big rock night at the Mylos complex.
The following week turns to the stage. Stand-up comes to the Avlaia theatre near the old HANTH square, Ibsen's Ghosts opens at the Amalia theatre, and several new exhibitions open, including photography at Villa Kapantzi. On Sunday 1 November, the Nea Paralia seafront hosts a free health run from the Concert Hall to the White Tower.
Below you will find our top picks first, then everything else day by day. Use the category buttons to see only one kind of event.
Good to know: many theatre shows and some free events need a booking, so check the organiser's page through the link before you go. Most plays and stand-up shows are in Greek.
